This is an open call for artists to submit proposals for an international New-Media exhibition in Jerusalem ISRAEL @ the year 2010.
The exhibition After Photography – New Media in Jerusalem will provide a platform for the latest ideas and creations in experimental art and technology. The aim of the exhibition is to give expression to the chronicle of New Media Art, exploring the natural evolution of the arts such as photography, cinema, theater, video art in contemporary society as they have developed, morphed and evolved into new multidisciplinary forms of expression.
The exhibition, to be held in the new gallery space of the Photographic Communications Department of the Hadassah Academic College, is open for works touching on the expanding field of New Media as typified by the title “After Photography” including but not limited to works using Interactive art technology, networked cultures, open source software, live video installation, computer/electronic music, Physical computing, sound and video art.
The finalist new media projects will be presented for a 10 week show in March-April 2010 at The New Gallery of the Photographic Communications Department, the Hadassah Academic College, Jerusalem, ISRAEL.
To be considered for participation, please submit (printed or by text document) the participants name, work title, year, medium and technical specifications as well as a work abstract, Artist statement and a brief biography (max of 200 words). Group works should have all members listed on the entry form.
Please include links to web sites, video and photo documentation as well as project reviews or publications.
Please add Requirements/Instructions for the Installation and Operation of the Work, the works should be “self contained” as much as possible. The gallery can provide only limited technical assistance
